Team Fortress 2: ESL Major Series Groups, Dates & Maps

ESL has released the Groups, maps and playday dates for the upcoming TF2 Major Series S2.
Europe - Right after announcing the sixteen qualified teams yesterday, we will present you the final groups today. There will be four groups with four teams each. You will also find a complete schedule for the entire EMS Mainround in this news.

Groups
Each group consists of two QR2 and two National Qualifier winners. The best team of every group will advance to the playoffs, which marks the final stage of the EMS Season II. Second and third will play one relegation round to assign the missing teams for the playoffs.

Group A - 4Kings, France extenSia, Finland sigh6, Germany Die Doppelnullen
Group B - United Kingdom The Last Resort, Germany Team GamerArea, Fracture, France warriors of Legend
Group C - Sweden syre, Russia Team Empire, Sweden IDAC, Animate Gaming
Group D - Finland Clan United, Poland Total Llamas, United States Team Pandemic, Sweden Kompaniet

Sunday, 13.04.08 20:00 CET - Playday 1
Sunday, 20.04.08 20:00 CET - Playday 2
Sunday, 27.04.08 20:00 CET - Playday 3

Relegation:
Sunday, 04.05.08 20:00 CET

Playoffs:
(Double-elimination Cup)
Sunday, 19.05.08 20:00 CET - Saturday, 29.06.08 20:00 CET

We've put in some free weeks between Groupstage, Relegation and Playoffs to loosen the schedule up and give teams the possibility to prepare for these important matches.

Maps
It is with great excitment that we are able to announce the map list for the ESL Major Series Main Round! We are very confident that the mapcycle will provide you with some very exciting games. First matches of the Main Round are about to start on Sunday, 13/03/08 at 20:00 CET (default time).
Week 1

Week 2

Week 3
1) Well
2) Granary
3) Gravelpit

Maprules
If any of the maps result in a draw, an overtime of 10 minutes is played. The team with the first cap wins the match ("Golden Cap").

If the overtime ends with no cap, cp_well is played as decider map, with no timelimit, according to the "Golden Cap" rule.

Finally, in the event of a draw on "Gravelpit", there will be no overtime. You will be required to play cp_well as the decider map, following the "Golden Cap" rule.
