Only three teams are left standing in the season 1 CEVO-Professional playoffs and that means nobody will be going home emptyhanded. Of course, the degree to which those hands are full may vary a great deal, but that's why only one team can win it all. Pandemic find themselves in prime position to do just that after winning the upper bracket by having gone 2-0 in playoffs thus far with a combined score of 26-8. Until that can be decided, however, Evil Geniuses and Guardians will meet to determine who goes home in third and who gets a shot at the top prize.

EG and Guardians go live tonight at 10:45 EST on mp_crash in a do or die situation. The winner advances to match Pandemic in a best of 3 in the grand finals while the loser goes home with a couple hundred dollars to their credit. EG have overcome their recent roster changes and been rather successful so far in playoffs while Guardians overcame their share of adversity too. After beginning their season 0-2, some thought that the Finish the Fight tournament champions didn't have it in them to compete in the regular season. They have proved their doubters wrong and we now see them keeping good company near the top. The competition should be fierce as every round can mean the difference of $1000.
