The newly announced event will be held in the Hilton Hotel in Antwerp from the 25th to the 27th of July and will feature tournaments for both Call of Duty 4 and FIFA 08. Presented by FORCOM and GAMEVIBES, the Antwerp eSports Festival is also organized by TEK9 Networks, one of the largest gaming teams in the Benelux region. €30,000 in cash and hardware prizes has been promised, with a minimum of €10,000 of that in cash according to event organizer and TEK9 CEO Steven Leunens.

TEK9's previous events had been held in the nearby Outpost Gaming Centre but its closure has prompted the organizers to look further afield. Leunens promised this year's event will be "bigger and better then ever" as they bid to compete with rivals Crossfire and Multiplay in the Call of Duty 4 market. Early indications are positive and more details are expected shortly.
