The 2008 Summer AA LAN is about to kickoff this July in Chicago, IL. This LAN will prove to be a truly remarkable step forward in the future of competitive Americas Army as four of the top five teams according to GotFrag’s NA Ranking’s have confirmed to be sending their teams to compete. The newly founded Summer Chicago LAN promises to surpass the number of teams that we saw at Summer CPL ‘07.

With the partnership of Electronic Revolution TV we will be able to bring LIVE coverage of the event and it’s matches for viewers around the world to share in the moment on July 18-20. Americas Army is not an unknown game, as this past week we saw an astounding 1600+ viewers in the CEVO-Professional Finals match between just Cause project and Mug N’ Mouse. E-Rev just recently casted the NERV LAN in PA. and brought an amazing 5000+ viewers in the finals match alone. Along with live event coverage of the matches, GotFrag will be updating scores LIVE as the action unfolds, bringing you the story as it happens with player blogs, team interviews, brackets, and scores. Coverage on this event will be at max enabling sponsors, supporters, teams, players and others to really get their name out there. Operation Gaming will also be providing servers and equipment to run the LAN.

The event will likely take place in the Essex Ballroom of the Doubletree Hotel just outside of Chicago in Oak Brook, IL. With enough space to accommodate over 100+ players comfortably.

Registration is open for $45 a player. Players will also be able to register at the door for a $60 fee.

If you want to attend this event you need to go to www.aa-lan.com and register on to the forums. There will be a lot of ringers attending, and they will be placed onto teams at the LAN. If you are signing up your entire team you need to follow the steps given within the forums, ringers also need to signup on the forums in the appropriate sections.
